The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office has constructed a state-of-the-art training facility in Rosenberg, Texas.
This facility spans 30.25 acres and includes a 189,523 square foot complex designed for municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
The facility features:
- 8 modern classrooms and an auditorium for training sessions.
- Administrative offices, conference rooms, and space for the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center and EMS administrative offices.
- A separate firearms range covering 80,193 square feet, offering realistic training simulations, including active shooter scenarios.
- A ½ mile concrete driving track for practical driving training.
- Additional features include a skills tower for SWAT teams, a K9 training area, a physical fitness center, a padded defensive tactics room, and a computer lab.
The facility aims to provide law enforcement personnel in Fort Bend and the region with skill-based training in a modern environment.
It is the first-ever firearms training center in the county and will be available to both the Sheriff’s Office employees and officers from other agencies.
The initiative began in 2021, addressing the need for a more comprehensive training facility.
