K&A can prepare Bid Documents for clients containing the appropriate documents necessary to bid and execute their building envelope work. Our Bid Documents typically will contain bidding requirements, contract documents, general and any supplemental conditions, technical specifications, and drawings necessary for the proper bidding, contracting, and completing of the project.

The technical specifications of the Bid Documents will include sections relating to scope of work, planning and schedules, required pre-/post-job submittals, demolition and repair, and building envelope system installation. The scope of work will provide the contractor with a basic overview of the project.

Once the Bid Documents are complete, K&A will conduct a Pre-Bid Conference to distribute the Bid Documents and to answer questions from the prospective bidders pertaining to the work. This Pre-Bid Conference will also include a tour of the property. K&A will issue meeting minutes and any addenda that may be required to the attending contractors. During the bid process, K&A will be available to answer questions regarding the Work.

After the bids are received, K&A will provide a bid tabulation at the Client’s and will be available to assist in evaluating the contractor’s bid submittals.
