The water spray test is performed in general accordance with the American Architectural Manufacturer’s Association (AAMA) 501.2-03 Quality Assurance and Diagnostic Water Leakage Field Check of Installed Storefronts, Curtain Walls, and Sloped Glazing Systems. The test equipment consists of a Type B-25, #6.030 brass nozzle with a 1/2″ FPT as manufactured by RMG Group, LLC. The nozzle is connected to a 3/4″ diameter hose with a control valve and a pressure gauge between the nozzle and valve. This test tests the watertight construction of sealant joints.
